One of the biggest challenges a blogger faces is unique content. With 1000s of blogs out there, it is indeed a daunting task.

Another challenge is to get your blog or website really really popular. I've recently made a banner and advertised with archerfish.

Anyways, 10 steps to popularize your website or blog are:

1. Submit your blog/website in all the directories, search engines that you can find.

2. Write an article about your blog, or what you blog about, and how you started it. If its a website or product that you want to promote, write an article about that.
Don't forget to add the benefits the readers or customers will get by visiting your blog or buying the product. Also try to give an incentive e.g. free catalogues or free information. Make the article short, to the point, and use the main keywords that are related to the topic / product.

2. Publish this article on free publishing sites, e.g. hubpages, ezine articles and as many social networks as you can.

3. Make banners of your blog or site. Use 300x300 size, and other standard sizes that are accepted.

4.Become a member of a Paid to Read Mails site that allows advertising as a redemption option as well. Click on the links for some time, and when you reach a certain amount, redeeem the cash for advertising the site/blog.

5. Become a member of mylot(get paid to forum), doshtalk(blogger's forum) and post about your blog.

6.Add a subscribe feed, and bookmark button on your blog, to make sure the visitors visit often or are able to read what you publish. If you have a website, send out a newsletter every month.

7. Become a member of reviewback.com, an online community where bloggers exchange reviews to gain more visibility. If you have a website, advertise with blog advertising companies e.g. Bloggerwave, Smorty, etc.

8. Exchange links with other bloggers. This is supposed to help in Search engines finding you.

9. Advertise your website, using the keywords that attract most attention, in all the free classifies under the right category.

10. Use anchor text freely. I recently learnt what anchor text is, it is the hyper link used in the posts. For example my blog is about earning money online, so I should use Earn money online as much as I can.
